This is a coconut-themed tour where you will explore the traditional foods that are made from coconut as well as learning their Javanese names.
If you're lucky, you could join the village kids practise their traditional instruments like Kompang, Angklung or Caklempong.
You can try to grate the coconut using the traditional method. And then you will be served with a delicacy that has to be eaten with the coconut you just grated. You will also be served with a freshly cut Degan!
We will walk around the kampung to visit another villager who is an expert at making lemang. You will be having a picnic by the river whilst enjoying lemang & rendang. The tour guide will show you how a lemang is made!
Right after, we will be heading towards a traditional house where you could see the decorations were made out of coconut leaves and you could try weaving ketupat as well.
After that, you will experience Malaysian traditional games such as Tapak Kaki Gajah, Congkak, terompah gergasi and many more.
We will head to a villager house to enjoy her "masakan kampung" lunch.
After lunch, you will do batik colouring before we head to Kem Herba for an interactive session with a forestry expert.
You will be picked-up by our bus driver or by car. You should be informed about this prior to the event day.

On arrival, you would be required to wear our traditional clothing and you could experience these activities;
1. Try on our traditional attire (Songket, Baju Kurung and Baju Melayu)
2. March towards the bride's house accompanied by a local kompang group

Still at the same location, but this time you need to change your gears because we are going to play the Malaysian pastime favourite traditional games!
This is very unique because you won't find this being played anywhere else in Malaysia other than in Santika Hulu Langat.

Next, you will enjoy Nasi Ambeng.
Nasi Ambeng is a fragrant rice dish that consists of white rice prepared with chicken curry (gulai ayam) or chicken ungkep (ayam ungkep) or chicken rendang, mixed vegetables (keluban), sambal goreng, bergedel, some salted fish, fried coconut flesh, and many more.
It is a popular Javanese cuisine, especially in the Javanese-Malay communities in Malaysian states of Selangor and Johor, Singapore and also in the island of Java, Indonesia where it originates.
It is served in a tray during the festivities and enjoyed together by a family of four to five people
Batik is the arts of Nusantara. Malaysia and Indonesia shares Batik but the difference is that Malaysian Batiks tend to use floral motives.
Here, the Batik artist will make a free style Batik drawing and the visitors are only required to colour the Batik.
The Batik then can be brought home as a souvenir!
Malaysia is famous for its foods! Even though you just had your Nasi Ambeng just now. We will serve you snacks like Rempeyek, Tumpi, Ubi Rebus, Goreng Pisang, Goreng Cempedak etc.
Depends on what we have on that day!
Magical Herbs Garden
After that, you will board the bus and go to Sungai Congkak for a magical herbs garden experience!
At Kem Herba, you will find a plant enthusiast and expert, Dr Mohd Noor Shamsuddin who is a forestry expert.
One of many interesting things he will show you is "miracle fruit" where all sour fruits will become sweet once you have had the "miracle fruit".
Dip & Departure
If you have time, you can just dip your feet into the river stream at the front of Kem Herba.
After that, our driver will send you back to Kuala Lumpur!
