Morten Village was buily in 1920s during the British administration, named after British Land Commissioner, Frederick Joseph Morten. Villa Sentosa is a living museum and the oldest traditional house here, featuring memorabilia from generations of owners.
In 1989, the village was declared a heritage village under Melaka’s Preservation and Conservation Enactment.
